Victoria Lawrence Original Plein Air on Canvas: "The Path with Heart"
Victoria Lawrence, a visionary plein air painter from Southeastern Pennsylvania, is back with another stunning original framed canvas titled "The Path with Heart." The natural landscape at Tyler is a wonderful inspiration for en plein air, which is French for "in the open air." Victoria produced this piece at Tyler during our Spring Fireside. She found inspiration in the color of the Magnolia Garden. Peeking out from behind the amethyst-colored leaves is a glimpse of the historic Painter Library.

Precious Tyler Wood #1: Lachford Ginkgo Bowl
This one-of-a-kind bowl was carved by longtime member Dave Warner from a remnant of a fallen limb from the still-standing Ginkgo behind Lachford Hall at Tyler Arboretum. The colors in the wood are natural; no stains are used. The wood is sealed with non-toxic tung oil, and the sealant can be “refreshed” by occasional wiping with Butcher Block oil. The carving may be wiped with a damp cloth but is not dishwasher safe. Extensive exposure to sunlight will fade all wood.
